| Summary, etc. | Coastal law highlights the importance of the rules governing public contracts and the public domain in coastal areas (related to beaches, to properties owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral or estuaries). The planning law provisions of the Coastal Act of 3 January 1986 are still the object of administrative case law, which stresses the importance of planning documents in implementing the protective principles of the Act. The protection of small cetaceans in the Bay of Biscay from fishing activities is still subject of disputes. The IMO and above all the EU are stepping up their efforts to fight against atmospheric emissions from ships. Appeals against offshore wind turbines are still ongoing. |

| Summary, etc. | Le droit du littoral met en exergue la prégnance des règles gouvernant les contrats publics et le domaine public en zone côtière (sur les plages, les propriétés du Conservatoire du littoral ou dans les estuaires). Les dispositions d’urbanisme de la loi Littoral du 3 janvier 1986 continuent pour leur part d’alimenter la jurisprudence administrative, laquelle souligne toute l’importance des documents d’urbanisme dans la mise en œuvre des principes protecteurs de la loi. La préservation des petits cétacés du Golfe de Gascogne face aux activités de pêche fait toujours l’objet de contentieux. L’OMI et surtout l’UE renforcent leur action dans la lutte contre les émissions atmosphériques des navires. Les recours contre les éoliennes en mer sont toujours présents. |
