Summary, etc. In the tradition of Hannah Arendt, education concerns each child, a living being « in the making ». As a propaedeutic interface, schools are committed to protecting, accompanying and educating each newcomer to the world. By « revealing themselves in speech and action », the subject-actor becomes liberated, experiences freedom and acquires his or her identity. But for this human emancipation to take place, speaking out and taking action seem to be sine qua non conditions. What can we say, then, about those vulnerable people affected by disability, who lack the ability to act, to speak, to think and to use the right words ? What place, what identity, can they be given in the Arendtian universe ? Should they be excluded de facto from the initiation school, from the public arena ? At a time when schools and societies are becoming more inclusive, how can we educate for a non-totalitarian world, in recognition of all human frailties ? This is the challenge facing a redefined pedagogical ethic, in which identity idem et ipse is combined with ontological responsibility towards others.

Summary, etc. Dans la filiation d’Hannah Arendt, l’éducation concerne chaque enfant, être vivant « en devenir ». Interface propédeutique, l’école s’engage à protéger, à accompagner et éduquer chaque nouveau venu vers le monde. « Se révélant dans la parole et dans l’action », le sujet agissant s’affranchit, fait l’expérience de la liberté et acquiert son identité. Mais pour que cette émancipation puisse se déployer, la parole et l’action paraissent s’instituer comme conditions sine qua non. Que dire alors de ceux, Vulnérables touchés par le handicap, à qui l’Agir, le Verbe, la pensée et le mot justes font défaut ? Quelle place, quelle identité dans l’univers arendtien, est-il possible de leur octroyer ? Doivent-ils de facto être exclus de l’école initiatique, de l’espace public ? Comment, aux heures contemporaines d’une école, d’une société à visée inclusive, éduquer pour un monde non-totalitaire, en reconnaissance de toutes les fragilités humaines ? C’est à cet enjeu que doit répondre une éthique éducative redéfinie, où l’identité idem et ipse se conjugue en responsabilité ontologique pour autrui.
