| Summary, etc. | This paper examines the role of Moroccan universities in supporting SMEs facing the challenges of a VUCA environment (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity). SMEs, representing 95% of the country’s business fabric, must cope with energy transition, digital transformation, and rising social and environmental demands. The study investigates how universities, as key actors in research, education, and technology transfer, can foster responsible innovation, defined as the integration of economic, social, and environmental objectives into business models. Using a qualitative methodology, literature review, semi-structured interviews, and case studies at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and Cadi Ayyad University, the findings highlight best practices, major obstacles, and drivers of success. Results show that universities play a crucial role in promoting sustainable practices, yet challenges remain regarding funding, partnership management, and training. The paper offers practical recommendations to strengthen university – SME collaboration, thereby enhancing the resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability of Moroccan SMEs in an increasingly uncertain global context. |

| Summary, etc. | Dans un contexte où l’entrepreneuriat durable est promu comme moteur du développement économique et social, les universités apparaissent comme des acteurs clés des écosystèmes d’innovation, aussi bien dans les pays en développement que dans les pays industrialisés. La littérature récente sur l’Université Responsable souligne leur contribution potentielle à la création de valeur partagée, à la formation de décideurs attentifs aux ODD et à l’accompagnement d’initiatives entrepreneuriales alignées sur les besoins sociétaux. Cette communication mobilise le cadre de la capacité d’absorption et les critères ARIR de l’innovation responsable pour examiner comment ces approches permettent d’analyser le rôle des universités dans l’émergence d’un entrepreneuriat innovant et durable. Un cadrage comparatif Sud/Nord est proposé pour discuter des opportunités offertes par les incubateurs universitaires, les partenariats industriels et les réseaux d’innovation, ainsi que des contraintes structurelles susceptibles d’influencer leur action. Cette réflexion entend nourrir le débat sur les leviers favorisant un entrepreneuriat durable ancré dans les missions universitaires. |
