| Summary, etc. | The aim of this work is to study the role of French universities in firm creation within the different territories. We characterize each university by the relative weight of its students in four major disciplines (engineering sciences, health, economics and social sciences, human sciences and letters) and observe the effects induced on the creation of two types of companies, those whose production activity is highly knowledge-intensive and those, often specialized in services, whose activity can be considered as less-knowledge intensive. |

| Summary, etc. | L’objectif de ce travail est d’étudier le rôle des universités françaises dans la création entrepreneuriale au sein des différents territoires. Nous caractérisons chaque université par le poids relatif de ses effectifs dans quatre grandes disciplines (sciences de l’ingénieur, santé, sciences économiques et sociales, sciences humaines et lettres) et observons les effets induits sur la création de deux types d’entreprises, celles dont l’activité de production est hautement intensive en connaissances et celles, souvent spécialisées dans les secteurs de service, dont l’activité peut être considérée comme faiblement intensive en connaissances. |
