| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | For a very long time, fascia has been the poor relation of medicine, even though osteopathy, and then Danis Bois Method (MDB) fasciatherapy in France have always emphasized the importance of this tissue for human health. The last 20 years have seen fundamental research on fascia take off to such an extent that many conventional and complementary manual, gestural, or instrumental healthcare practices now rely on this tissue to support their model. However, fascia remains little known in France, and practices such as MDB Fasciatherapy are still viewed with skepticism by medical authorities. It is in this context that FasciaFrance and CERAP-UFP organized the 1st International Fasciatherapy Congress in May 2025 in Vannes. This article reports on the papers presented at the congress from a multidisciplinary and integrative perspective, bringing together researchers from the life sciences, neurosciences, and humanities and social sciences, as well as professionals in the field, to address current issues affecting all complementary healthcare practices: the state of research on fascia, the research dynamics developed within MDB fasciatherapy, and the professionalization of this practice in the specific context of integrative health and complementary healthcare practices. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. |
