| Summary, etc. | Oceans provide essential ecosystem services to humanity and support the seafood sector, a cornerstone of the blue economy. However, these services are increasingly threatened by major challenges such as climate change, overexploitation, and geopolitical tensions. In this context, “blue innovation” is emerging as a strategic response. It can take the form of a new or improved product or process made available to potential users or implemented by an organization, and it must relate to the blue economy. Blue innovation is grounded in principles of sustainability and transdisciplinarity. It is approached systemically, with a focus on the interactions among actors within the blue economy ecosystem for its generation and diffusion. This presentation will introduce the session dedicated to blue innovation. It will also present the IFSEA Graduate School, led by the University of Littoral Côte d’Opale, whose research activities are fully aligned with this theme. |

| Summary, etc. | Les océans fournissent des services écosystémiques essentiels à l’humanité et soutiennent la filière des produits de la mer, pilier de l’économie bleue. Cependant, ces services sont menacés par des défis majeurs : changement climatique, surexploitation, tensions géopolitiques, etc. Dans ce contexte, l’« innovation bleue » émerge comme réponse stratégique. Elle prend la forme d’un produit ou d’un processus nouveau ou amélioré, mise à la disposition d’utilisateurs potentiels ou mise en œuvre par l’unité et ayant trait à l’économie bleue. Elle repose sur des principes de durabilité et de transdisciplinarité. Elle s’analyse de manière systémique, en insistant sur les interactions entre les acteurs de l’écosystème de l’économie bleue pour la générer et la diffuser. Cette communication présentera la session consacrée à l’innovation bleue. Elle introduira également l’École Universitaire de Recherche - IFSEA portée par l’Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale, dont les travaux s’inscrivent pleinement dans cette thématique. |
