Such a strategy seeks to blur boundaries in order to better legitimize exploitation. Reduced to “boundary-objects”, animals experience a form of “zoocarceral inhabitation” that immobilizes them and strips them of their own existence. This extreme de-animalization, structured by language and industrialized meat production systems, assimilates them to plants—veritable “protein-rich tubers”—increasingly denying their capacities and normalizing ever more intensive consumption. |

Cette stratégie viserait à brouiller les frontières pour mieux légitimer leur exploitation. Réduits à des « objets-frontières », les animaux subissent un « habiter zoocarcéral » qui les immobilise et les dépossède de leur existence propre.
