520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This article uses the knowledge dissemination model developed by Lévy-Garboua in 1994 - which shows that learning by watching is a key component of on-the-job training - and matched data about the cost of labour and the wage structure in 1992 to demonstrate that informal training has a positive and statistically significant impact on gains. What makes this model so rewarding is not just that it allows us to measure the returns from learning by watching, but also to estimate the speed with which know-how spreads at a given site and to gauge a company’s knowledge compared with the knowledge of new workers. This last allows us to propose a new definition of dualism.
