| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | In France, between 2009 and 2015, the estimated annual average number of cases of Lyme borreliosis (BL), related to tick bite, was in the order of 29,000 cases with an estimated average annual incidence of 46 cases per 100 000 inhabitants at the national level and a large regional and departmental disparity with estimated high incidences (> 100 cases/100 000) in the East and Center and low (<50/100 000) in the west and south Mediterranean. Bl is mainly diagnosed at the primary stage of the disease by general practitioners and dermatologists. The lack of specificity of the clinical signs of the secondary and tertiary phases and the lack of standardization of the serological tests make it a difficult diagnosis at these stages. How to confirm the diagnosis and with what reliability? What to tell our patients to guard against and what to do after a tick bite? |
