L’idée fondamentalede la doctrine sérielle est alors que toute action transformatrice, toute synthèse constructive, s’appuient sur une forme d’ordonnance et de répétition susceptible d’être formalisée pour elle-même ; se trouve ainsi postulée une généralité de la structure formalisée qui, si elle impose de réviser les relations entre concept et phénomène musical, ne peut entièrement résorber les contraintes spécifiques des configurations musicales, qui limitent l’ambition du calcul. |
