| Summary, etc. | A une époque où la pensée critique semble camper sur des bases inébranlables, Scheler entreprend de remettre en question un ensemble de présupposés typiquement kantiens. Celui qu’il prend en effet le plus directement à parti est le schéma rationaliste qui les fonde tous à l’origine. C’est ainsi que l’essentiel de sa philosophie consistera, expliquent les spécialistes, à jouer le sentiment contre l’intellect. Il ne convient pas de renouveler ce constat — fût-ce sous un angle nouveau —, mais bien plutôt de dévoiler ce qui constitue ses conditions de possibilités. L’originalité de la pensée schelerienne, en deçà de son opposition à la toute puissante « raison raisonnante », réside certainement en (grande) partie dans la mise en place rigoureuse et concise d’un cadre phénoménologique capable de fournir les outils nécessaires à l’élaboration de sa critique. En effet, Scheler ne subordonne la raison au sentiment qu’à la suite d’un long travail phénoménologique de remise en question du sujet, de l’Ego. C’est ce travail que nous nous proposons de retracer ici en suivant pas à pas la manière dont il prend congé de la synthèse et de l’unité transcendantales pour s’orienter vers une pensée de la diversité. |

| Summary, etc. | At a time when critical thinking seems to rest on an unshakeable basis, Scheler starts questionning a set of Kant’s typical principles. The one he attacks most strongly is the rationalist scheme from which they all originate. In that respect, specialists explain that the central part of his philosophy opposis feelings to intellect. We do not want to renew this observation, even under a new angle, but rather to unveil the conditions which make it possible. The originality of Scheler’s thinking, beyond his opposition to the all powerful reason, is mostly due to the rigourous and concise building of a phenomenological framework which can supply the tools necessary to the elaboration of his criticism. Indeed, Scheler only subordinates reason to feelings after a long phenomenological work questioning subject and Ego. We here wish to reconstitute this approach, following step by step the way he takes to distance himself from the transcendantal synthesis and unity to become oriented toward a thinking of diversity. |
