| Summary, etc. | Résumé : La pensée de W. Dilthey est ici interrogée dans la perspective de sa contribution au dégagement des éléments principaux d’un concept historique de temps. Dans le contexte de son projet de fondation des sciences de l’esprit, Dilthey tente de reconquérir la réalité du temps – contre son idéalisation transcendantale – en le reconduisant à son origine dans la vie psychique. Mais ce foyer psychologique de la conception diltheyenne du temps lui barre l’accès à un concept de temps véritablement adapté à l’histoire. En envisageant le temps et l’histoire dans la perspective du présent et sur la base d’une anthropologie encore tributaire de la tradition moderne, Dilthey indique ainsi a contrario de possibles voies pour parvenir à un véritable concept historique de temps. |

| Summary, etc. | Abstract: This paper will examine Dilthey’s contribution to defining the main elements of a historical concept of time. In the framework of his attempt to lay the philosophical foundations of the human sciences, Dilthey aims to reclaim the reality of time against its transcendental idealization by returning it to its origins in psychic life. However, the psychological focus of the Diltheyian conception of time prevents it from accessing a time concept properly suited to history. On the other hand, by approaching time from the perspective of the present and on the basis of modern anthropology, Dilthey indicates possible pathways for achieving a proper historical concept of time. |
