Dans un premier temps, le mouvement a défié, de façon radicale, l’androcentrisme diffus du ‘capitalisme d’État’. Puis, il a involontairement constitué un élément-clé de ce que Luc Boltanski et Eve Chiapello appellent « le nouvel esprit » du capitalisme néolibéral. Aujourd’hui, alors que le capitalisme est en crise, occasion nous est donnée de ranimer la promesse émancipatrice du féminisme de la deuxième vague1. |

| Summary, etc. | Feminism, Capitalism, and the Cunning of HistoryTaking a broad, sweeping look at second-wave feminism, this essay situates the movement’s unfolding in relation to three moments in the history of capitalism. In the first moment, feminism posed a radical challenge to the pervasive androcentrism of “state-organized capitalism.” In the second, the movement unwittingly supplied a key ingredient of what Luc Boltanski and Eve Chiapello call “the new spirit” of neoliberal capitalism. In the third (present) moment, of capitalist crisis, we have the chance to reactivate the emancipatory promise of second-wave feminism. |

En un primer tiempo, el movimiento desafió radicalmente el androcentrismo difuso del “capitalismo organizado por el Estado”. Después, constituyó involuntariamente un elemento clave de lo que Luc Boltanski y Eve Chiapello llaman “el nuevo espiritú” del capitalismo neoliberal.
