| Summary, etc. | À partir de deux études de cas ethnographiques recueillies en France et au Cameroun, cet article analyse, au prisme du genre, la mobilité transnationale de deux couples d’Afrique subsaharienne confrontés à l’infertilité. Les deux cas révèlent un processus similaire de désengagement masculin articulé à une volonté acharnée de la femme à être enceinte. Le travail reproductif avec assistance médicale à la procréation ( AMP) s’il peut révéler des pratiques d’émancipation par rapport à des normes socioculturelles (notamment en termes de relations conjugales avec un refus de la polygamie), continue néanmoins de reposer sur les femmes et ne remet pas en cause la dichotomie entre travail productif masculin et travail reproductif féminin. |

| Summary, etc. | Migrating to procreate: tales of African couplesBased on two ethnographic case studies carried out in France and Cameroon, this article uses the prism of gender to analyse the transnational mobility of two couples from Sub-Saharan Africa who are dealing with infertility. Both cases reveal a similar process of male disengagement articulated with a fierce desire on the part of the woman to become pregnant. Reproductive work with medically assisted procreation (MAP), while it may reveal emancipatory practices within the context of sociocultural norms (in particular in terms of marital relationships with a refusal of polygamy), nevertheless continues to rely on the women’s efforts and does not call into question the dichotomy between male productive work and female reproductive work. |

| Summary, etc. | A partir de dos estudios de caso etnográficos recogidos en Francia y en Camerún, este artículo analiza, desde el prisma del género, la movilidad transnacional de dos parejas de África subsahariana que se enfrentan a la infertilidad. Los dos casos revelan un proceso similar de liberación masculina articulado con una voluntad implacable de la mujer de quedar embarazada. Si el trabajo reproductivo en la procreación médicamente asistida (PMA) puede revelar prácticas de emancipación con respecto a normas socioculturales (en particular en términos de relaciones conyugales con un rechazo de la poligamia), sigue recayendo sobre las mujeres y no cuestiona la dicotomía entre trabajo productivo masculino y trabajo reproductivo femenino. |
