| Summary, etc. | Les mots ont un pouvoir double, celui d’être la condition d’une puissance d’agir, et celui de la blessure ou d’une injonction à se taire. Être livré à la violence de l’autre, expérimenter l’impact d’une parole et le pouvoir des mots, c’est reconnaître sa propre vulnérabilité et, en vertu de celle-ci, sa capacité à agir. Le récit de Jane Sautière, Nullipare, permet de mettre en perspective cette vulnérabilité et l’emprise du discours sur le corps féminin. Dans son ouvrage, l’auteure écrit les effets d’un signifiant, nullipare, sur le corps d’une femme qui, par choix, n’a pas porté d’enfant. Qu’est-ce qu’une situation ou une rencontre qui prendrait en compte la vulnérabilité du sujet sans en figer la condition de victime et sans psychologisation ? L’action spécifique de l’« autre secourable » ( Nebenmensch)dans le cadre psychanalytique peut régler le jeu de ces vulnérabilités respectives. |

Being exposed to the violence of the other, experiencing the impact of a word and of the power of words, is to recognise one’s own vulnerability and, by virtue of it, one’s own capacity to act. Jane Sautière’s memoir, Nullipare, allows us to put into perspective this vulnerability and the influence of discourse on the female body. In her work, the author describes the effects of a signifier, nullipare (childlessness), on the body of a woman who chose not to bear children. What could be the form of a situation or encounter that took into consideration the vulnerability of the subject without fixing her condition as a victim, and without psychologising it? The specific action of the “next person” (Nebenmensch) within a psychoanalytic framework can adjust these respective vulnerabilities. |
