| Summary, etc. | Cet article est consacré à la présence de femmes manadières et gardianes dans les manades en Camargue. Quelles sont les stratégies que ces femmes mettent en place afin de s’intégrer et se maintenir dans un monde masculin, inhabituel pour elles ? Après avoir abordé l’accès des femmes et la division sexuelle du travail, nous montrerons comment être gardiane ou manadière, c’est « faire comme un homme » et « garder sa féminité ». Les femmes vont se masculiniser en « neutralisant » leur féminité et en infériorisant une catégorie de « femmes » dites « fragiles ». Pour autant, les femmes des manades ne veulent pas perdre leur « féminité » leur permettant ainsi d’éviter d’être stigmatisées. |

| Summary, etc. | This article deals with the presence of female manadières and gardianes, breeders and herders of bulls in the French region of Camargue. After discussing women’s access and the sexual division of labor, it shows how becoming a gardiane or manadière means “doing a man’s job” while still “keeping your femininity.” They become more masculine by “neutralizing” their femininity and viewing a category of “women” described as “fragile,” as inferior. Yet, manade women don't want to lose their own femininity, and thus avoid being stigmatized. |

| Summary, etc. | Este artículo está dedicado a la presencia de mujeres adiestradoras y guardianas en las manadas de Camargue. ¿Qué estrategias ponen en práctica estas mujeres para integrarse y mantenerse en un mundo masculino, inusual para ellas? Después de haber abordado el acceso de las mujeres y la división sexual del trabajo, mostraremos como ser tutora o pupila, es “hacer como un hombre” y “guardar su feminidad”. Las mujeres van a masculinizarse “neutralizando” su feminidad y minimizando la importancia de una categoría de “mujeres” llamadas “frágiles”. Sin embargo, las mujeres de las manadas no quieren perder su “feminidad”, lo que les permite evitar ser estigmatizadas. |
