| Summary, etc. | Agrobusiness, industrie minière ou pétrolière, exploitation forestière, toutes ces pratiques industrielles consistent à extraire des ressources du milieu naturel de façon agressive par l’exploitation sans merci de populations humaines, animales et végétales, en usant de méthodes laissant de profondes cicatrices à l’écosystème terrestre. Nous avons laissé faire, aveuglés par notre quête de confort matériel, bernés par des promesses de croissance infinie. Or notre matérialisme atteint ses limites, celles que la Terre nous impose pour que la vie perdure. Pollution massive de tous les écosystèmes, effet de serre, déboisement, appauvrissement des sols, surexploitation de l’eau douce, acidification de l’océan, nous voilà engagés dans une sixième extinction de masse. Il est temps de reconnaître l’écocide en cours, la destruction de notre maison commune, il est vital de reconnaître à la nature son droit à exister, se régénérer et s’épanouir. |

| Summary, etc. | Agribusiness, mining or oil industry, logging, all these industrial practices rely on extracting resources from the environment in an aggressive way by the merciless exploitation of human, animal and vegetable populations, using methods leaving deep scars to the terrestrial ecosystem. Blinded by our quest for material comfort, fooled by promises of infinite growth, we have permited this destruction. But our materialism reaches its limits, the very limits that the Earth imposes on us for life to continue. Massive pollution of all ecosystems, greenhouse effect, deforestation, impoverishment of the soil, overexploitation of fresh water, acidification of the ocean, we are now engaged in a sixth mass extinction. It is time to recognize the ongoing ecocide, the destruction of our common home, it is vital to recognize nature’s right to exist, regenerate and flourish. |
