| Summary, etc. | L’œuvre d’André Gorz est souvent appréhendée à l’aune de la philosophie existentialiste ou de la théorie anticapitaliste. Peu s’intéressent à sa technocritique, qui est pourtant la pierre angulaire de sa pensée sociale. D’un côté, de son livre Écologie et politique (1978) à L’immatériel (2003), il promeut une société utopique abritant des ateliers autogérés pour étendre la sphère autonome. De l’autre, il condamne une société dystopique où la technique contrôle l’humanité. L’alternative est donc entre l’écosocialisme et la barbarie. Toute l’écologie politique d’André Gorz se retrouve dans cette défense du monde vécu contre l’obsolescence de l’homme organisée par le capitalisme. |

| Summary, etc. | The work of André Gorz is often understood in the light of existentialism or the anticapitalist theory. Few are those who take an interest in his technocriticism, while it is the keystone of his social thought. On the one hand, from his book Ecology and Politics (1978) to The Immaterial (2003), he promotes a utopian society sheltering self-governed workshops in order to extend the autonomous sphere. On the other hand, he disapproves of a dystopian society where technology controls humanity. The alternative is thus between ecosocialism and barbarity. All Gorz’s political ecology is found in this defense of the lived world against the obsolescence of man organized by capitalism. |
