| Summary, etc. | La « modernisation » de l’agriculture s’est accompagnée de changements technologiques (motorisation, introduction de produits chimiques, développement de la génétique, numérisation) la transformant en un maillon d’une chaîne industrielle largement dominée par des multinationales du Nord. Les conséquences de ce système sur le plan écologique, alimentaire et sanitaire ont été surtout négatives. Les paysans, dépossédés de leurs savoirs et savoir-faire, sont devenus dépendants de ce technosystème. Depuis quelques années, ils ont entrepris de reconquérir leur autonomie, en matière de connaissances, de semences, de techniques culturales et d’outils. Cette reconquête ouvre la porte au retour d’agricultures paysannes diversifiées, bénéfiques pour l’ensemble de la société. |

| Summary, etc. | The “modernization” of agriculture has been accompanied by technological changes (motorization, introduction of chemicals, development of genetics, digitalization) transforming it into a link in an industrial chain largely dominated by multinationals from the North. The ecological, food and health consequences of this system have been mainly negative. Peasants, dispossessed of their knowledge and know-how, have become dependent on this technosystem. In recent years, they have begun to regain their autonomy in terms of knowledge, seeds, farming techniques and tools. This reconquest opens the door to the return of diversified peasant agriculture that is beneficial to society as a whole. |
