| Summary, etc. | RésuméLors de la révolution au Burkina Faso, le nouveau leader Sankara imposa un nouveau découpage urbain pour rompre l’assise du pouvoir coutumier et faciliter l’avènement d’une nouvelle société. La gestion de l’espace est conçue comme une ressource au service de la révolution. À travers l’analyse du passage du quartier au secteur, dans une perspective diachronique, nous proposons une évaluation anthropologique d’un enjeu clef de cette politique spatiale et de ses conséquences aujourd’hui. |

| Summary, etc. | After the revolution in Burkina Faso, the new leader, Sankara, imposed a new urban configuration aiming at dismantling the influence of traditional leaders and at speeding the emergence of a new society. Urban planning is conceived as a resource for the revolution. In a diachronic perspective, the paper analyses the transformation of “neighbourhoods” into “sectors”, offering an anthropological evaluation of a major stake of this spatial policy and of its current consequences. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenDurante la revolución en Burkina Faso, el poder sankarista impuso un nuevo ordenamiento urbano con objeto de romper la influencia del poder consuetudinario tribal y para facilitar el advenimiento de una nueva sociedad. La gestión del espacio se concibe como un instrumento al servicio de la revolución. A través de un análisis de la transformación del barrio en sector, proponemos dentro de una perspectiva diacrónica, una evaluación antropológica de una de las apuestas mas importantes de esta política spacial y de sus actuales consecuencias. |
