| Summary, etc. | Résumé Le développement des pratiques sportives itinérantes dans les espaces « naturels » péri-urbains s’accompagne de politiques publiques d’aménagement. Celle menée depuis 1993 par une Communauté d’agglomération, analysée comme instrument de dynamique intercommunale, participe à l’énonciation d’un nouveau territoire politique et de l’action publique. La réhabilitation des chemins vicinaux, leur transformation en chemins de randonnée, leur « patrimonialisation », leur mise en ordre par un schéma directeur mais aussi leur mise en scène et en carte apparaissent comme autant de dispositifs qui permettent la régulation des tensions entre différents usages de cet espace péri-urbain, la fabrication d’une « identité » intercommunale et son identification comme territoire « pertinent » et légitime d’action publique locale. |

| Summary, etc. | The development of leisure sports in a « natural » environment within the suburbs requires adept public policies. The present paper analyses a management policy in place since 1993 by a local government (an association of several urban districts) as a tool to stimulate an inter-district dynamic in order to define a new territory for political action. The rehabilitation of country roads, their transformation into hiking trails, their « patrimonialization », their ordering according to a master plan, creating them on the ground as well as showing their routes on maps, constitute a range of tools for regulating tensions arising from their various usages in such a suburban space, for the creation of an inter-district identity and for defining a legitimate and « pertinent » territory of public action. |
