| Summary, etc. | Les réformes récentes de l’enseignement primaire et secondaire dans plusieurs pays occidentaux ont été axées sur la nécessité de parvenir à une action concertée au sein des établissements. La réforme de l’éducation au Québec, annoncée en 1997, repose sur un impératif de coopération. Notre recherche sur le personnel de soutien technique et paratechnique permet de situer l’impératif de construction d’une communauté éducative ou de coopération en concomitance avec une division accrue du travail scolaire. Nous montrerons que la division du travail implique un pluralisme des représentations et des intérêts professionnels, des tensions de rôles, une densité de rapports sociaux entre agents scolaires qui mettent en péril la pleine participation de tous à la cité éducative. |

| Summary, etc. | Setting up an educational community within the context of a rising division of labour : the example of professional relationships between technical support staff and teachers in Quebec The recent reforms of primary and secondary education in several western countries have borne on the need to reach concerted action within schools. The reform of education in Quebec announced in 1997 lies on the need for cooperation. Our research work on technical support staff allows to cast a light on the much needed construction of an educational or cooperative community alongside a rising division of labour at school. We shall see that the division of labour implies multiple representations and professional interests, role tensions, social relations between school agents that threaten the full participation of all in the educational community. |
