Eichmann n’était pas un forcené raciste, mais un travailleur modèle. Cependant, la thèse du travailleur zélé au service de la « banalité du mal » demeure aujourd’hui encore insupportable, ainsi que la réflexion sur le rôle joué, au nom du « moindre mal », par les conseils juifs. Au-delà est soulevée la question de la modernité et du décalage entre nos actes et leurs conséquences dans notre propre travail. |

Notwithstanding, the idea of the diligent worker who serves the “banality of evil”, as well as the thought of the Jewish council’s role in the name of the “lesser of evils”, still remain unbearable in our days. Moreover, the questions concerning modernity and the discrepancy between our actions and their consequences at our own occupations are posed. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenA partir del proceso de Eichmann, al cual el autor dedicó una película, se interroga el desafío conceptual que representa el crimen burocrático. Eichmann no era un racista fanático sino un trabajador modelo. Sin embargo, la tesis del trabajador consagrado al servicio de la “banalidad del mal” continua aún siendo insoportable, así como la reflexión sobre el papel de los consejos judíos en nombre del “menor mal posible”. Posteriormente, el autor se interroga sobre la modernidad y el desfase entre nuestros actos y sus consecuencias en nuestro propio trabajo. |
