| Summary, etc. | Durant la guerre d’Espagne (1936-1939), un trafic d’armes d’apparence légale destiné aux républicains espagnols se développe. Une partie de celui-ci provient de Pologne, qui est alors une dictature d’extrême droite. Ainsi, Honfleur, port de refuge de l’illégalité, devient une plaque tournante des livraisons d’armes transitant par la France. Face à ce phénomène, les autorités ont une attitude ambivalente, encadrant un trafic qu’elles ne pouvaient ou ne voulaient pas arrêter. Aussi, celles-ci auraient décidé de relâcher la politique dite de « non-intervention » interdisant les fournitures destinées au conflit espagnol. Un regard nouveau est porté sur ce phénomène. Il consiste à étudier le trafic par le biais d’un lieu privilégié, le port normand. Par conséquent, cela permet de modestement bousculer les représentations historiographiques françaises traditionnelles : en dépit du « relâchement », il semble que toutes les autorités n’ont pas prêté main forte au trafic semi-légal. |

| Summary, etc. | During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) an apparently legitimate arms trade developped to arm the Republicans. Some of the arms came from Poland, a right-wing dictatorship. Honfleur became an illegal gateway for this trade. French authorities adopted an ambivalent attitude of non-intervention in this conflict. By examining this trade through a Norman port, this article puts in question the traditional interpretation showing that not all authorities favoured this trade. |
