| Summary, etc. | Il est impossible de nier aujourd'hui que le viol porte gravement atteinte à la dignité de la l'individu et que ses répercussions psychologiques, morales et sociales sur la vie des victimes sont considérables. Tout abus sexuel constitue une violation de l'intégrité de la personne et provoque toujours un traumatisme. Or, dans notre société, le viol demeure un crime " marginal " et les violeurs sont, parmi tous les criminels, « ceux qui jouissent de la plus grande impunité » : une minorité de viols fait l'objet d'une plainte, les condamnations demeurent peu fréquentes et les peines prononcées sont souvent dérisoires, malgré l'adoption au cours des deux dernières décennies de lois plus répressives mais qui restent empreintes d'un sexisme latent. Et les jeunes filles piégées par les « tournantes », viols collectifs perpétrés dans les cités délaissées, souffrent particulièrement de l'indifférence et de la suspi~cion, eu égard notamment aux rapports complexes et souvent ambigus entretenus entre les victimes et leurs agresseurs. |

| Summary, etc. | Corine BRICHE « The suffering of the young girl that has been raped : from the barbarity of the action to the weight of indifference and of suspicion » Nowadays, it is impossible to deny that rape strikes a blow at the dignity of a person and that its psychological, moral and social repercussions on the victims' lives are really important. Any sexual abuse constitutes a violation of the integrity of a person and always provokes a traumatism. However, in our society, rape is still a "marginal" crime and the rapists are, among all the criminals, those who benefit from the greatest impunity: a minority of rapes gives rise to a complaint, sentences are not frequent and are generally derisory in spite of the adoption, during the two last decades of more repressive laws but that are still influenced by a latent sexism. And the young girls who have been victims of the "tournantes" i.e. the collective rapes that take place in abandoned cities, suffer especially from the indifference and from the suspicion: this is mainly related to the fact that the relationship between the victims and their aggressors is often ambiguous and complex. |
