| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | The paper means to study what is called ‘poetic delirium’ or the fundamental relation in archaic Greek culture between ecstasy and writing. The writing practice which appears rather late in the Greek world entertains with the writer the same type of relation binding the ‘aede’ to his song which reproduces his production orally. In both cases, the fixation and re-semantisation are achieved in a state of trance, which can be assimilated to an ecstasy (an exit), as long as it is differentiated from shamanist rites. In the texts under consideration, (Homer’s Odysseus), the analysis leads us to posit an author who surrenders and recovers control through writing. |
