| Summary, etc. | Le cas de ce jeune adolescent entendu au cours d’une présentation clinique indique un déficit de la fonction symbolique relevé à plusieurs égards dans le discours de ce sujet psychotique, qui, quant à lui, ne se présente en aucun cas comme déficitaire. Le sujet révèle, au contraire, un potentiel du côté de la parole qui lui permet, d’une part, de tracer les points marquants de son histoire, où se repère l’élément déclenchant de sa psychose, et, d’autre part, de trouver par son projet « devenir forgeron » une façon de se protéger d’un Autre qui le persécute. |

On the contrary, he seems to enjoy a high linguistic potentiality which allows him to relate in details his story, revealing, though unaware, the triggering event of his psychosis. It becomes clear that “to be a blacksmith” serves to protect him from the persecuting Other. |
