| Summary, etc. | Les urnes funéraires et sarcophages d’Étrurie offrent une ample matière pour aborder la question de la réception du mythe grec dans une société particulière et celle de l’impact des modèles hellénistiques sur une production artisanale. L’auteur part de l’analyse du livre de Fr. De Angelis sur les urnes funéraires de Chiusi pour instituer un dialogue critique et constructif avec les thèses qui y sont exprimées. La tradition iconographique des mythes choisis pour orner ces monuments funéraires, leur signification, leur rapport à l’identité individuelle et collective des commanditaires peuvent retenir l’attention de l’historien au-delà de simples considérations étruscologiques. De même leur chronologie, entre le iiie et le iie s. av. J.-C., comme les modèles suivis, dans la tradition du premier hellénisme, mais avec les réactualisations et les nouveautés introduites par Pergame, permettent de reposer d’un point de vue original nombre de problèmes relatifs à la création artistique de cette époque. L’interprétation étrusque des mythes grecs, mais aussi celle des modèles attribuables à Pergame, notamment à travers les thèmes de la bataille, du héros à la charrue (Échétlos) et d’autres mythes sont ici réexaminés. |

| Summary, etc. | Funeral urns and sarcophagi from Etruria provide a wide range of materials for an examination of the reception of Greek mythology in a particular society and the special impact of Hellenistic models on an artisanal production. The author starts from an analysis of Fr. De Angelis’s book on the funerary urns from Clusium, aiming to institute a critical and constructive dialogue with its theses. The iconographical tradition followed by the artisans for the ornament of these funerary monuments, the signification of the myths in their relation to the identity, individual and collective, of the sponsors of the urns, might draw the attention of the historian beyond simple considerations on Etruscan matters. The chronology between 3th and 2th Cent. bc of these pieces of funeral art, too, the models they follow, from the first expressions of Hellenistic art to the refreshed or new versions attributed to Pergamum inventive, enables us to reformulate, from an original perspective, several problems related to the artistic creation of this period. The Etruscan interpretation of Greek myths, the models and the narrative introduced by Pergamum, such as the battle themes, the Hero with the Plough (Echetlos) and other myths, are here re-examined. |
