520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The confrontation of the ethics of social work with the principles of social justiceConstruct a collective viewpoint and give it a political aim, this was the recommendation of the SWHC (Social Work High Council) to social workers. Despite this, social workers remain exclusively concerned about the professional/user face-to-face encounter and continue to refer to principles stemming from human rights philosophy as a foundation for their ethics. Such principles do of course constitute valuable guidelines for human personal relationships and direct the ethics of our actions within the interpersonal relations framework. They seem, on the other hand, much less effective as a basis for social work ethic which would have a political aim. Two questions thus structured the research work presented here. Without normative marks more adapted to a societal and political field, how is the social justice question to be thought through at the heart of practical workers’ professional practices? Could a social justice philosophical approach, such as that proposed for example by John Rawls ; stimulate an ethical standpoint with political objectives for social work?
