| Summary, etc. | Ce texte montre qu’au cours du temps le développement, après avoir été placé sous le prisme du produit intérieur brut (PIB), a été approché à l’aide d’un panel d’indicateurs. C’est ce que font les Objectifs de développement durable (ODD) en incluant des critères sociaux et écologiques, élargissant l’approche du développement à l’ensemble des acteurs du monde. Ensuite, le texte interroge les raisons de l’insuccès du développement bien que les ODD aient ciblé le combat contre la pauvreté et la faim et pour des partenariats mondiaux. Il leur manque une dimension stratégique. La Banque mondiale ne peut y remédier avec son cadre d’analyse éloigné du monde réel, celui de rivalités acharnées mettant en péril l’habitabilité de la terre. | Summary, etc. | This text shows that over time, development, long viewed primarily through the prism of GDP, has increasingly been approached using a range of indicators. This is what the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) do, by including social and ecological criteria, broadening the approach to include all actors in the world. The text then questions the reasons for the failure of development, despite the SDGs targeting the fight against poverty and hunger and promoting global partnerships. They lack a strategic dimension. The World Bank cannot compensate for this with its analysis framework, which is far removed from the real world, where fierce rivalries are jeopardizing the habitability of the Earth. Only strong international solidarity can bring humanity out of this impasse. |
