| Summary, etc. | Dans les années cinquante, les premiers programmes de la télévision française accordent une attention particulière aux émissions à caractère religieux Leur présence tient beaucoup à l’action conjointe du père dominicain Pichard et de Jean d’Arcy, membre du cabinet ministériel du secrétaire d’État à l’information, proche des courants de la Résistance d’inspiration chrétienne. Le premier réussit, non sans mal, à imposer, en 1948, la représentation à la télévision de la messe. Son initiative débouche en octobre 1949 sur une émission toujours programmée en 2015 : Le Jour du Seigneur. |

| Summary, etc. | In the 1950s, the beginnings of French television were particularly attentive to religious programming. Religious broadcasting is largely due to the concerted efforts of Father Pichard, a Dominican priest, and Jean d’Arcy, member of the Secretary of State’s ministerial cabinet for information and close to the “Résistance d’inspiration chrétienne” (R.I.C. – Christian-inspired resistance movements). In 1948, Father Pichard, with some difficulty, managed to obtain the broadcast of Sunday mass. His efforts were rewarded in October 1949 with the regularly programmed, Le Jour du Seigneur, still on the air in 2015. |
