| Summary, etc. | Si, comme on le pense, l’évangile de Luc est destiné, à travers « Théophile », à des chrétiens venus du monde païen, on peut se demander pourquoi ses premiers chapitres sont chargés de réalités typiquement juives et d’un riche arrière-fond scripturaire. L’article vise à faire valoir la pertinence du parcours auquel Luc provoque son lecteur et l’aide qu’il lui apporte, dans la manière de conduire son récit, pour qu’à partir de sa situation Théophile mesure peu à peu combien son accès au salut réalise ce vers quoi tendait l’espérance des Écritures, accomplie en ce Jésus qu’il a commencé à découvrir. |

| Summary, etc. | If, as seems clear, the Gospel of Luke is addressed, through “Theophilus”, to Christians of pagan origin, it seems appropriate to ask why its first chapters are filled with references to typically Jewish realities and set against a rich scriptural background. The article aims to highlight the relevance of the journey to which Luke invites his reader and the help which he brings, in his conduct of the narrative, so that, starting from his own perspective, Theophilus is gradually able to mesure the extent to which his access to salvation accomplishes that towards which the hope of the scriptures pointed, accomplished in the Jesus that he has begun to discover. |
