Cette étude développe l’union des dimensions sacramentelle et ministérielle des chefs d’Églises dans la figure de l’unique Prêtre, le Fils fait homme dans la forma servi et présent constamment à l’assemblée ecclésiale, autant auprès des fidèles laïcs que des fidèles pasteurs. La théologie de Léon intime la différence de nature et de modalité entre sacerdoce commun et hiérarchique, le second signifiant la tête devenue esclave au service du premier. |

| Summary, etc. | Leo the Great, bishop of Rome, quoted in the teaching of Vatican ii on the sacramentality of the episcopate, understands his ministry as the “sacrament of the divine priesthood” of Christ.
