| Summary, etc. | Si jusqu’au milieu du siècle dernier, le pardon était considéré comme le privilège de la conscience religieuse individuelle, il s’invite désormais au plan politique. Trois exemples le montrent : l’Union européenne, les Commissions vérité et réconciliation (CVR) et la justice reconstructive. Ces formes de pardon institutionnel ont pour effet de réajuster les grandes sphères de relations réfléchies par Paul Ricœur (avoir, pouvoir, valoir) et de retrouver des éléments fondamentaux oubliés de nos traditions du pardon. |

| Summary, etc. | Forgiveness, a Political Gesture ?If, up to the middle of the 20th century, forgiveness was considered to be the privilege of the individual religious conscience, today it has spread to the political field. Three examples show this: the European Union, Truth and Reconciliation Commissions and restorative justice. These forms of institutional forgiveness result in readjusting the great realms of relationships thought out by Paul Ricœur (to have, to be able, to be worth) and in finding again the fundamental elements forgotten in our traditions of forgiveness. |
