Profitant d’un repli temporaire des autorités politiques, des membres de l’élite locale semblent avoir réussi à instituer une forme limitée d’auto-gouvernement, voire de co-seigneurie. Un conflit né avec l’un des seigneurs légitimes, l’abbé de Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, provoque sa disparition après un procès mené par des juges délégués par le pape. L’article éclaire le contexte social et politique de cet événement.. |

| Summary, etc. | In this posthumous paper, Robert Fossier, who left us in 2012, presents the conditions under which a rural commune briefly appeared in Maisnières, in the Vimeu area, during the thirteenth century. Members of the local elite seem to have taken advantage of a temporary weakening of political authorities and succeeded in setting up a limited form of self-government, or even of co-seigniorage. A clash with one of its legitimate lords, the abbott of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, brought about its disappearance after a trial conducted by judge delegates sent by the Pope. The paper throws light on the social and political context of this event. |

| Summary, etc. | En este trabajo póstumo, Robert Fossier, desaparecido en 2012, presenta las condiciones de la breve aparición de una comunidad rural en Maisnières, en la comarca de Vimeu (Picardía), en el siglo xiii. Aprovechando una debilidad temporal de las autoridades políticas, algunos miembros de la elite local parecen haber conseguido una forma limitada de auto-gobierno, y hasta de señorío compartido. Un conflicto con uno de los señores legítimos, el abad de Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, causó su desaparición, después de un pleito conducido por jueces nombrados por el papa. El artículo aclara el contexto social y político de este acontecimiento. |
