| Summary, etc. | La présente chronique s’intéresse d’abord aux évènements marquants dans les différents secteurs du droit international de l’environnement, à savoir le climat, l’eau, le milieu marin, l’air et l’atmosphère ainsi que la faune, la flore et la biodiversité. Elle vise ensuite la protection transsectorielle de l’environnement en développant notamment les thématiques suivantes : protection de l’environnement dans son ensemble, protection transversale (substances, déchets), environnement et commerce et responsabilité environnementale, internationale et civile. Les sources prises en compte sont les traités, les instruments non obligatoires adoptés plus particulièrement par les Conférences des parties et d’autres instances internationales ainsi que les décisions de justice les plus marquantes. |

| Summary, etc. | The present column covers the significant events in the field of International Environmental Law over the last two years (July 2019 – June 2021). First, it considers sectorial issues such as protection of climate, fresh water, marine environment, air and atmosphere, flora, fauna and biodiversity. Secondly, it deals with environmental protection as a whole, transsectorial protection (substances, waste), environment and trade as well as environmental responsibility and liability. The legal sources taken into account are mainly treaties, COP, UN and other soft law instruments as well as judicial decisions. |
