| Summary, etc. | Les phénomènes autistiques nous parlent des personnes qui se sont repliées dans un monde de non existence. À travers leurs modalités autistiques de fonctionnement elles ont tronqué leur conscience, et cela leur permet d’habiter dans un monde d’objets inanimés pour éviter le contact avec la douleur mentale.L’expérience clinique avec des enfants qui habitent ce désert et des adultes avec des enclaves autistiques m’ont poussée à m’interroger sur un plan théorique aussi bien que sur un plan clinique sur le contraste entre une intelligence puissante et une sensibilité esthétique que l’on observe dans les moments de sortie de l’autisme, ainsi que sur les obstacles au développement cognitif et émotionnel. Dans ces moments de sortie de l’autisme, la capacité aiguë et rapide à faire des découvertes et des connexions est difficile à soutenir, parce qu’elle suscite de l’angoisse, ce qui pousse à se réfugier à nouveau dans le monde autistique, en annulant les succès dans une indifférenciation. Cette indifférenciation efface la découverte du fait choisi (Bion, 1974) et remplace la possibilité d’établir des connexions par un isolement.Il ne s’agit pas de fonctionnement psychotique. Les difficultés qui oblitèrent la croissance mentale sont d’une autre nature, et il faut penser aussi, pour faire un travail analytique, à d’autres stratégies.Dans l’autisme, le développement de la pensée embryonnaire s’arrête et cela empêche une évolution vers une prise de conscience. La perturbation des fonctions matricielles de la pensée : relation contenant-contenu et oscillation PS⌠D (Bion, 1979) leur imprime des caractéristiques particulières à cause de l’utilisation des mécanismes de déconnexion, d’isolement et d’annulation. À partir des idées de Bion sur les transformations (1982), je propose l’hypothèse d’une zone de non-transformation combinée à l’hypothèse selon laquelle les éléments sensoriels autistiques sont différents, non seulement des éléments alpha, mais aussi des éléments bêta. Ces éléments diffèrent aussi des barrières de contact (Bion, 1979), de l’écran bêta (Bion, 1979) et les barrières autistiques. (Tustin, 1989) Mon expérience clinique et le dialogue avec Bion, Meltzer et Tustin m’amènent à proposer quelques suggestions techniques pour la construction d’un espace ludique grâce à la personnification et au jeu, comme ressources qui peuvent ouvrir des chemins pour sortir des aspects arides et vides du monde de l’autiste. Je propose d’articuler cette idée de la construction d’un espace ludique avec certaines conjectures sur la dimension esthétique de l’esprit. |

| Summary, etc. | Autistic phenomena speak to us about human beings that have withdrawn into a world of non existence. Through their autistic way of functioning they truncated their consciousness and this allows them to live in a world of inanimate objects where they can avoid contact with mental pain. The clinical experience with patients that live in such a world raised theoretic and clinical questions about the contrast between a great intelligence and also an aesthetic sensibility that one can observe when they come out from this autistic functioning and the obstacles they present for their emotional and cognitive development. In the moments when they come out from their autistic functioning, their capacity of making discoveries and connections is difficult to maintain because the anxiety it stimulates, and this anxiety pushes them again towards the autistic world, annulling the achievements and again towards a non differentiation. This non differentiation erases the discovery of the selected fact and replaces the possibility of establishing connections by isolation. It is not a psychotic functioning the obstacles that stop mental growth are different, so we have to think in different strategies for their treatment. In autism the matrix functions for thinking: container-contained and PS↔D (Bion, 1979) have different characteristic because their use of mechanisms of disconnection, isolation and annulment. Having in mind Bion’s ideas about transformations (Bion, 1982) I put forward the hypothesis of a zone of non transformation combined with an hypothesis that the sensorial autistic elements are different not only from alpha elements but also from beta elements. These elements also make a difference between the contact barrier (Bion 1979), beta screen and the autistic barriers (Tustin, 1989). My clinical experience and the dialogue with Bion, Meltzer and Tustin made me think of a certain technical approach through the construction of a “playing space” and of personification which are means that could open a way for coming out from this void and arid autistic world. I propose to articulate the construction of a space for playing with certain conjectures about the aesthetic dimension of the mind. |
