| Summary, etc. | L’évaluation des compétences langagières apporte des informations précieuses aux psychologues lorsqu’ils rencontrent des enfants qui grandissent au contact de plusieurs langues et de plusieurs cultures. Les enjeux psychiques autour du fait de parler telle ou telle langue peuvent être importants et savoir dans quelle mesure un enfant peut comprendre, produire voire faire des récits dans la ou les langues de ses parents donne une idée des processus de transmission à l’œuvre dans la famille et de l’inscription fantasmatique de l’enfant dans une filiation ou une affiliation avec les locuteurs de la langue en question. Sa capacité à passer d’une langue à l’autre est aussi un indicateur d’une possibilité plus globale à passer d’un monde à l’autre de manière fluide, par exemple de la culture de la maison à celle de l’école. Une passation de test plurilingue permet aussi de recevoir symboliquement l’enfant avec l’ensemble de ses appartenances culturelles. Cette procédure est appliquée à une situation concrète. |
