520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. We report the case of a seven-year-old child presenting selective mutism, who attended a transcultural family consultation, a system recently set up in our child care center. The effect of the transcultural approach on the co-construction of the relationship with otherness for the child, the family and the therapists is analysed. This paper shows that the transcultural approach helps the child to increase his ability to “trans-late” from his inner world to the outside world. The role of the cultural mediator as a facilitator is pointed out. The sharing of narratives of trauma within this system is shown to produce emerging scenarios in the form of drawings for the child, and elaborations within the group.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
