| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’économie se présente aujourd’hui comme le seul élément du vivre ensemble avec l’objectif du toujours plus de production et de consommation. Dans le passé, cet imaginaire social du toujours plus a permis toutes sortes de progrès et l’émancipation des individus. Mais il n’est plus possible aujourd’hui de poursuivre sur cette lancée, car elle entraîne destruction de l’environnement naturel, marchandisation de tout, retrait dans le privé et exclusion d’une grande partie de la population. Dans la lutte pour l’obtention de ressources rares, le risque est grand de voir la violence se répandre à l’intérieur des nations et entre nations. Il est trop facile de faire du capitalisme un bouc émissaire, alors que sa force repose en dernier ressort sur le consommateur consentant. Nous sommes tous responsables. Dans divers domaines, il existe des réalisations, certes partielles, mais qui orientent vers un autre imaginaire social. |

| Summary, etc. | Economy appears today like the only element of the « living together » with the objective of always more production and consummation. In the past, this social imaginary of always more allowed all kinds of progress and emancipation of individuals. But it’s not possible anymore to continue on this impetus, because it involves destruction of natural environment, merchandisation of all, withdrawal in the private business and exclusion of an important part of the population. Fighting to obtain rare resources, the risk is great to see violence spreading itself inside the nations and between nations. It is so easy to turn capitalism into a scapegoat, whereas its strength lays on the consenting consumer. We are all responsible. In various fields, there are achievements, certainly partial, but which tends to another social imaginary. |
