| Summary, etc. | Cet article concerne les pratiques dans les lieux d’accueil enfants-parents (LAEP) français. Il s’appuie sur l’analyse d’observations de séances de cinq lieux répartis sur trois territoires urbains et d’entretiens avec leurs équipes. Après avoir brièvement contextualisé l’émergence et le développement de ces lieux, puis présenté le cadre théorique pluriel de l’étude et sa méthodologie, l’analyse se centre sur les premiers pas des arrivant.e.s (adultes et enfants) dans ces LAEP. Les « pas de danse » des différents protagonistes lors de ces rencontres initiales se sont avérés des indicateurs précieux des processus de socialisation complexes en jeu, montrant la façon dont sont performés les « scripts » de ces lieux. |

| Summary, etc. | This article is focused on practices in French ‘Parent and Child’ centres, named lieux d’accueil enfants-parents (LAEP). It is based on an analysis of observations of sessions in five centres, spread over three French urban localities, and interviews with their staffs. After a brief presentation of the context in which these centres emerged and developed, and of the multi-pronged theoretical framework of this study and its methodology, we focus upon the inaugural steps of adults and children entering these centres. The dance-like moves of the various protagonists in these initial encounters have proven to be useful indicators of the sophisticated socialization processes underway, while revealing at the same time the ways in which « scripts » are played out in such contexts. |
