| Summary, etc. | RésuméEn observant certaines prescriptions rituelles, les membres des minorités religieuses attirent l’attention dans leur « pays d’accueil ». En Europe, souvent confrontés à de l’incompréhension, de la méfiance ou de la curiosité, beaucoup de non-chrétiens cherchent comment obtenir une liberté d’expression religieuse. De plus en plus, les minorités religieuses font appel aux tribunaux pour réclamer des droits spéciaux. À partir d’exemples zurichois relatifs à la dispense de cours de natation et à la réalisation d’enterrements dignes, l’article questionne les changements sociaux qui résultent de l’immigration d’individus non chrétiens. Le droit à la liberté d’expression religieuse exige une flexibilité partagée tant par les institutions de la société de résidence que par les immigrés. |

| Summary, etc. | By observing some ritual prescriptions, members of religious minorities draw attention to themselves in their « host country ». In Europe many non-Christians who are often confronted with incomprehension, suspicion or even curiosity claim freedom of religious expression. Religious minorities resort more and more to court to claim special rights. On two examples taken in the canton of Zurich, – the exemption from swimming course and the claim for a dignified burial –, the author questions the social changes resulting from non-Christian immigration. The right to freedom of religious expression for the immigrants requires a flexibility on the part of both the institutions of the host country and the immigrants themselves. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungPraktizierenden Mitglieder von religiösen Minderheiten können in der Immigrationsgesellschaft insbesondere durch die Kleidung, die Nahrung oder andere rituelle Vorschriften auffallen. Oft erfahren sie dann Unverständnis, Misstrauen, manchmal auch Neugierde. Aus diesen Gründen sind viele nicht-christliche Menschen in Europa vor die Frage gestellt, wie sie ihre innere und äussere Religionsfreiheit verwirklichen können. Immer öfters appellieren religiöse Minderheiten an Gerichte und verlangen nach eigenen Rechten. Anhand zweier Beispiele – Dispensation vom Schwimmunterricht und Gewährleistung einer schicklichen Bestattung im Kanton Zürich – werden die gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen untersucht, die durch die Immigration von nicht-christlichen, religiös praktizierenden Menschen entstehen. Es wird argumentiert, dass die Verwirklichung des Rechts auf Religionsfreiheit von allen Beteiligten, sowohl von den Institutionen der Gastgesellschaft als auch von den ImmigrantInnen, Flexibilität erfordert. |
