| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’apparition en Ukraine de collections et de musées ethnographiques marque l’essor d’un intérêt national grandissant pour la culture traditionnelle et l’amorce de démarches effectuées en vue de la préserver et transmettre. L’initiative privée de l’ intelligentsia et de l’aristocratie a joué un rôle primordial dans la sauvegarde des monuments culturels et la création de musées ethnographiques. C’est le milieu universitaire qui prend aujourd’hui la relève, publiant des ouvrages spécialisés, organisant des expéditions scientifiques et ouvrant des départements d’Ethnographie, d’Ethnologie et d’Histoire de l’art. En retraçant l’évolution des musées ethnographiques ukrainiens, l’auteur montre que ce type de musée constitue un facteur déterminant de la renaissance nationale en Ukraine. |

| Summary, etc. | The creation of ethnographic collections and museums in Ukraine testifies to the growing national interest for traditional culture which is marked by the first measures aiming at its preservation and transmission. Private initiatives of the intelligentsia and aristocracy played a major role in the protection of cultural monuments and the creation of ethnographic museums. This is assumed today by academics who publish spezialized literature, organize scientific expeditions and create departments of ethnography, ethnology and art history. By retracing the evolution of Ukrainian ethnographic museums the authorin shows that this type of museum is of crucial importance for the Ukrainian national rebirth. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungDie Schöpfung ethnographischer Sammlungen und Museen in der Ukraine zeugt von einem zunehmenden nationalen Interest für die traditionale Kultur, das sich durch die ersten Massnahmen für ihre Erhaltung und Übermittlung kennzeichnet. Privatinitiativen der Intelligenzija und Aristokratie spielten eine wesentliche Rolle in der Erhaltung kultureller Denkmäler und der Schöpfung ethnographischer Museen. Dies wird heute von Akademikern übernommen, die Fachliteratur veröffentlichen, wissenschaftliche Expeditionen organisieren und Departements für Ethnographie, Ethnologie und Kunstgeschichte gründen. Indem sie die Entwicklung der ethnographischen Museen beschreibt, zeigt die Autorin, dass dieses Museumstyp von entscheidender Wichtigkeit für die ukrainische nationale Wiedergeburt ist. |
