| Summary, etc. | RésuméS’appuyant sur une observation de type ethnographique menée auprès d’élèves rencontrés dans leur lycée de la banlieue sud de Paris, cet article est centré sur les pratiques et représentations sociales de quelques « jeunes de cités » scolarisés. Il souhaite montrer ce que représente pour eux le lycée et comment ils y vivent au quotidien. Ce dernier, plus qu’une institution utile pour obtenir un diplôme, semble être avant tout un lieu de vie juvénile qui leur permet de maintenir un mode de vie proche de celui adopté dans la cité. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on an ethnographic study carried out among students of a secondary school in the southern suburb of Paris this article describes the practices and social representations of some of these « housing estates’ school students ». It shows what the secondary school represents to them and what their daily life looks like there. The school is more than a useful institution to get a diploma and seems to be first of all a place where young people can live a life similar to their own in a housing estate. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungAuf der Basis einer ethnographischen Studie, die bei Schülern eines Gymnasiums der südlichen Vororts von Paris durchgeführt wurde, beschreibt dieser Artikel die Praktiken und sozialen Vorstellungen einiger eingeschulten « Grosswohnsiedlungsjungen ». Er zeigt, was das Gymnasium für sie darstellt und wie ihr Leben dort aussieht. Dieses Gymnasium ist mehr als eine nützliche Institution, um ein Diplom zu bekommen. Es ist vor allem ein Ort, wo junge Leute ein Leben führen können, das ihrem eigenen in Grosswohnsiedlungen ähnlich ist. |
