| Summary, etc. | RésuméÀ la demande de la Fédération textile de la cgt, un travail d’enquête a été entrepris en 2003 dans trois cas de fermeture d’usines textiles, auprès des anciens salariés de Levi’s, Cellatex et Mossley. Il s’est agi, à partir de trois moments clés (annonce de la fermeture, lutte et après-conflit), de rendre compte de ce que la fin du travail entraîne : un traumatisme et une possible reconstruction. La question est alors : après le traumatisme du licenciement, comment se reconstruire ? Dans les trois cas, on observe l’existence de structures associatives assurant une forme de veille et d’entraide mutuelle. Grâce à elles, les anciens salariés rencontrent des pratiques culturelles (cinéma, théâtre, écriture) qu’ils vont eux-mêmes expérimenter, devenant acteurs à leur tour et « objets de culture ». On verra comment cette appropriation culturelle a joué dans la reconstruction de leur intégrité. |

| Summary, etc. | On request of the cgt Textile Federation a survey on the closure of three textile fabrics, Lévis, Cellatex and Mossley was carried out in 2003 among their former salaried employees. Three key times – announcement of the closure, struggles and after conflict time – were studied to account for the consequences of the end of work : a trauma and a possible personal reconstruction. The central question is : how can workers reconstruct themselves after a trauma from redundancy ? In all three cases one observed the existence of associative structures that ensured former salaried employees a sort of watchfullness and mutual aid and enabled them to experience cultural activities (cinema, theater, writing) and to become actors themselves and « objects of culture ». We study here how this cultural appropriation contributed to the reconstruction of their integrity. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungAuf Bitte der cgt Textilgewerkschaft wurde 2003 eine Erhebung bei den ehemaligen Arbeitnehmern dreier geschlossenen Textilfabriken, Lévis, Cellatex und Mossley durchgeführt. Drei Schlüsselzeiten (Ankündigung der Schliessung, Kämpfe, Nachkampfzeit) wurden untersucht, um die Folgen des Arbeitsverlusts bei den Arbeitern zu zeigen : ein Trauma und eine mögliche persönliche Rekonstruktion. Die zentrale Frage ist : wie können sich die Arbeiter nach dem Trauma der Entlassung rekonstruiren ? In den drei Fällen wird festgestellt, dass Vereinsstrukturen ihnen eine Art gegenseitigen Beistands versichern. Dank ihnen entdecken diese ehemaligen Arbeitsnehmer neue kulturelle Aktivitäten (Kino, Theater, Schreiben), die sie selbst betreiben und werden dadurch Akteuren und « Kulturobjekte ». Die Autoren zeigen, wie diese kulturelle Aneignung eine Rolle in der Rekonstruktion der Arbeiterintegrität gespielt hat. |
