| Summary, etc. | RésuméS’inscrivant à la fois dans la perspective d’une ethnographie de l’expertise et d’une sociologie des valeurs, cet article décrit une réunion d’une commission régionale de protection du patrimoine et des sites ( crps), chargée soit de proposer le classement d’un édifice au titre des Monuments historiques, soit de décider son inscription à l’Inventaire supplémentaire. Après une restitution détaillée des discussions entre experts, il dégage les critères, les valeurs et les registres de valeurs sollicités en matière patrimoniale. On voit ainsi comment s’articulent concrètement, dans toute leur complexité, les valeurs d’ancienneté, de rareté, de beauté et, surtout, d’authenticité. |

| Summary, etc. | The administration of authenticityAiming both at an ethnography of expertise and at a sociology of values, this paper describes a meeting of the “commission régionale de protection du patrimoine et des sites” (local commission in charge of protecting national heritage), discussing the options between the “classement” (classifying) or the “inscription” procedures of a building on the list of historical monuments. After having thoroughly reported the discussions between experts, the paper brings out the criteria, values and value registers used when dealing with national heritage. It thus puts forward the effective and complex links between the values of ancientness, rarity, beauty and, moreover, authenticity. |

Von der gemeinsamen Expertise zur Entscheidung für das nationale ErbeDieser Artikel analysiert ausethnographischerundsoziologischerSichteineSitzungdercommissionrégionaledeprotectiondupatrimoine et des sites (CRPS) – der regionalen Kontrollkommission zum Schutz des kulturellen Erbes. Der Kommission obliegt es, bestimmte Orte (Bauwerke, Denkmäler etc.) entweder direkt als historisches Monument (Monuments historiques) zu klassifizieren oder in den zusätzlichen Kanon der geschützten Orte (Inventaire supplémentaire) aufzunehmen. Der Artikel wirft anhand einer detaillierten Rekonstruktion der geführten Expertengespräche, einen Blick auf die zugrundeliegenden Kriterien, die allgemeinen Werte sowie den Kanon der historisch-kulturellen Werte. Dabei wird vor allem deutlich, welche Rolle Werte wie Alter, Seltenheit, Schönheit und vor allem Authentizität für die zu treffenden Entscheidung spielen. |
