| Summary, etc. | RésuméPourquoi n’existe-t-il pas de mouvement féministe dans la Pologne de l’après-socialisme ? Une enquête ethnographique conduite auprès de Polonaises catholiques converties à un nouveau mouvement religieux permet d’explorer cette question. Peu satisfaites des relations de genre qu’elles expérimentent, ces femmes, au lieu de devenir féministes, se conforment à une discipline ascétique stricte, ce qui les conduit à réorganiser totalement leurs relations sociales. L’article se concentre sur leur organisation et analyse ces concepts (non libéraux) d’émancipation des femmes. |

| Summary, etc. | Why is there no feminism after socialism in Poland ? I explore this issue through ethnographic fieldwork conducted among Polish converts from Catholicism to a feminized new religious movement. Reasons of conversion include dissatisfaction of gender relations. Instead of becoming feminists, the women are committed to strict ascetic discipline and the conversion totally reorganize their social relations. I focus on their agency and point out their (non-liberal) concepts of women’s empowerment. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungWarum existiert im postsozialistischen Polen keine feministische Bewegung ? Eine ethnographische Studie unter katholischen Polinnen, die sich zu einer neuen religiösen Bewegung bekennen soll dieser Frage nachgehen. Die Unzufriedenheit mit ihren bisherigen Erfahrungen hat die Frauen nämlich nicht dazu geführt, Feministinnen zu werden, sondern dazu gebracht, sich einer strikten Askese zu unterwerfen und darauf aufbauend ihre sozialen Beziehungen neu zu organisieren. Der Artikel beschäftigt sich in erster Linie mit dieser Neu-Organisation und analysiert die (nicht-liberalen) Konzepte dieser Form von Frauenemanzipation. |
