| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article révèle les distinctions fondamentales entre les musées européens et nord-américains, qui permettent de mieux comprendre la nature des collections. Les musées nord-américains et plus particulièrement les musées québécois se caractérisent par une muséographie qui privilégie la mise en récit de l’histoire et de la culture. Nous tentons de dégager ce qui caractérise les objets de collections dans les musées de société nord-américains et nous explorons le concept de musealia qui permet de comprendre les liens entre les dimensions matérielles et immatérielles des objets. |

The North American museums and especially Quebec museums are characterized by a focus on development in narrative history and culture. We try to identify what characterizes the objects of museum collections in North American society and to explore the concept of “musealias” so as to understand the links between tangible and intangible dimensions of objects. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungDieser Artikel thematisiert den grundlegenden Unterschied zwischen europäischen und nordamerikanischen Museen und ermöglicht so ein besseres Verständnis der unterschiedlichen Ausstellungskonzepte. Denn nordamerikanische Museen und ganz besonders Museen in Quebec zeichnen sich durch die Fokussierung auf eine erzählerische Darstellung von Geschichte und Kultur aus. Diesbezüglich arbeitet der Autor die Charakteristika der Ausstellungstücke nordamerikanischer Museen heraus ; gleichzeitig erläutert er das „Musealia“-Konzept, das die materielle und immaterielle Dimension der Objekte zueinander in Verbindung setzt. |
