| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe jardin « naturel » est à la mode, et il déstabilise le modèle longtemps hégémonique du jardin fleuri. Il exerce une séduction croissante en ville, où il symbolise la nature ordinaire, concrétise les idées et les valeurs de l’écologie urbaine et du développement « durable ». Le jardin naturel se radicalise dans l’hybridation entre friche et jardin, figure nouvelle qui valorise l’esthétique brouillonne du terrain vague et cristallise toutes les ambiguïtés du rapport à la nature aujourd’hui : accueillir les mécanismes naturels et s’en assurer le contrôle. Une recherche a été effectuée sur une petite friche parisienne, dans un quartier particulièrement dense et soumis à de forts enjeux politiques. Du terrain vague à la friche paysagée, elle a permis de comprendre les paradoxes d’un nouveau modèle de nature urbaine, un « sauvage » singulièrement socialisé. |

| Summary, etc. | The natural garden is fashionable and destabilizes the powerful system of “flowering”, growing flowers. It operates an increasing seduction in town, where it symbolizes common nature and develops the ideas and the values of urban ecology and sustainable development. Today, the natural garden has become more radical in the hybridization between fallow land and garden, a new topic which values the confused aesthetics of the waste ground and crystallizes all the ambiguities of the relation with nature : welcoming natural mechanisms and at the same time controlling them. Conducted on a small Parisian fallow land, in a district particularly dense and subjected to strong political stakes, a research revealed the paradoxes of a new model of urban nature, from the waste ground to the “landscaped” fallow land, a curiously socialized “wilderness”. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungDer natürliche Garten ist in Mode und verdrängt das bislang vorherrschende Modell des angelegten Gartens. Vor allem in den Städten, wo der natürliche Garten die einfache Natur symbolisiert und sie mit den Ideen und Werten einer städtischen Ökologie und nachhaltiger Entwicklung verbindet, findet er mehr und mehr Gefallen. Seine radikalste Ausdrucksweise findet der natürliche Garten heute in der Ästhetik des Unordentlichen, des strukturlosen Terrains und somit in der Doppeldeutigkeit seiner Beziehung zur Natur. Eine Doppeldeutigkeit, die darin besteht, natürliche Mechanismen in das Konzept des Gartens mit einzubeziehen und sie gleichzeitig zu kontrollieren. Die hier vorliegende Studie bezieht sich auf ein kleines Stückchen Pariser Brachland, das in einem stark bewohnten und politisch kontrovers umworbenen Viertel liegt. Vom strukturlosen Terrain wurde die Fläche zum kultivierten Brachland ; als Beispiel zeigt besonders deutlich wie paradox das neue Modell städtischer Natur - das Modell einer in besonderer Weise gezähmten Wildnis - ist. |
