| Summary, etc. | À travers l’expérience d’une population de Français d’origine cambodgienne qui ont choisi de s’installer dans le pays que leurs parents ont quitté il y a trente ans, cet article aborde la question de l’identité. Plutôt que de s’intéresser aux « stratégies » identitaires d’« acteurs sociaux » passablement désincarnés, l’article met l’accent sur les effets les plus immédiats de l’arrivée au Cambodge sur les représentations du soi. L’objectif est alors de montrer comment le processus identitaire en question est lié aux spécificités du modèle français d’intégration ainsi qu’à l’objectivation d’une mémoire jusqu’alors inscrite dans les corps. |

| Summary, etc. | Phenotype, Culture and MigrationThrough the example of some second generation French Cambodians who decided to settle in the country that their parents left thirty years ago, this article explores the question of identity. Instead of considering the latter through “strategies” of abstract “social actors”, the article explores the more instantaneous impacts of the arrival on self-representation. Thus, it aims to show how the identity process is linked to the French ideal of integration on the one hand, and to the objectification of some embodied memories on the other hand. |

| Summary, etc. | Der vorliegende Artikel geht der Frage der Identität am Beispiel der Erfahrungen einer Gruppe von kambodschanisch stämmigen Franzosen nach, die sich in dem Land niederlassen, das ihre Eltern vor über 30 Jahren verlassen haben. Dabei stehen vor allem die unmittelbaren Auswirkungen der Ankunft in Kambodscha auf die jeweilige Persönlichkeit im Vordergrund und weniger die Identitätsstrategien bestimmter sozialer Akteure. Ziel ist es zu zeigen, ob und wenn ja wie der Prozess der Identitätsbildung und das französische Integrationsmodell miteinander zusammenhängen und welche Rolle die Erinnerung dabei spielt. |
